In QI, data analysis is crucial as it helps you understand if there is a problem that needs to be fixed. This module reviews nurse sensitive indicators and the idea of process and outcome metrics in data analysis. The idea of benchmarks is discussed as well as various external benchmarks are identified. Data collection and analysis including the use of control, run, pareto and pie charts are reviewed.
