Organization-Wide Customized Curriculum

We partner with your organization, including your finance department, to develop a customized program that’s innovative and effective because it not only provides evidence based strategies and education, but also includes practice and application. We understand your organization is unique, so we align content to your processes and reports. On site, in person sessions allow for interaction with tenured faculty and your own finance leaders. Taught by seasoned nurse leaders who have lived the budget, variance and productivity experience makes all the difference.

SESSION 1: MASTERING STAFFING AND PRODUCTIVITY

ENSURE ADEQUATE STAFFING AND LEARN HOW TO ANSWER KEY QUESTIONS SUCH AS:

  • How many staff do I need on my staffing roster?
  • What shifts should they be working?
  • How can I determine a responsible skill mix of caregivers?

PRODUCTIVITY TARGETS:

Now that you know how many caregivers you need, ensure your department stays in a productive mode by learning to calculate productivity and exactly where to look if your department is not meeting its productivity target. The key lays in everyone’s understanding of productivity benchmarks.

SESSION 2: OPERATIONAL AND CAPITAL BUDGETING

OPERATIONAL, CAPITAL, AND FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY​

Understand the rationale and methods to make a strong educated prediction for getting your department the supplies and equipment they need and staying within budget! Variance justification is key.
