Core Values Exercise
Why Core Values?
- First and foremost, clarifying and living in alignment with your Core Values is foundational for living a purpose-driven life.
- When you live (and lead) in alignment with your Values & Purpose, you are more likely to be happier, live longer, and have a greater influence on those around you.
- When Leaders take the time to clarify, define, and share their personal Core Values with their teams, organizational outcomes like engagement, productivity, trust, and turnover improve.
The Exercise
This downloadable PDF will guide you through a shortened version of our sought-after Values clarification exercise. The full exercise is typically personally facilitated by Dr. Lori Armstrong or one of the Inspire Nurse Leaders team members because while the exercise may seem easy at first glance, it is actually quite difficult for many. Sorting and prioritizing values is the easy part. But don’t be fooled! The exercise will require you to choose only a handful of values. We do not negotiate on the number of Core Values and neither should you!
